For Pokéria by NIMA, NRC Company developed and implemented a complete digital infrastructure solution tailored to support their operations across the Italian market.
We engineered and deployed secure, high-performance websites utilizing an optimized LAMP stack architecture, integrating a Content Delivery Network (CDN) for faster content distribution and advanced caching mechanisms with Redis to maximize backend performance and ensure scalability.
The CMS platforms were thoroughly hardened at both the configuration and application code levels, significantly minimizing the risk of common security vulnerabilities. Ongoing application security was enforced through the integration of a proactive Web Application Firewall (WAF), strict server-side input validation, and continuous system patching.
The infrastructure project included the design and deployment of a dedicated, highly secure hosting environment. Using a combination of VPS and bare-metal servers, we implemented strict isolation between staging and production environments, deployed Layer 7 HTTP/HTTPS load balancers with active failover mechanisms, and established automated, encrypted backup procedures using full and incremental strategies compliant with AES-256 encryption standards.
To guarantee operational resilience and visibility, we set up a comprehensive monitoring stack based on Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana, enabling real-time performance tracking and incident management. All internal communications between nodes and systems are secured through site-to-site IPSec VPNs with robust encryption policies.
System management aligns with stringent security practices: all Linux servers are hardened according to CIS Benchmarks, with patch management fully automated through Ansible playbooks to ensure consistent, timely updates. Centralized log management is handled by the ELK Stack, providing real-time anomaly detection capabilities and maintaining immutable audit trails. Critical system access is protected via bastion hosts and enforced Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Security was a central pillar of this project. We deployed Unified Threat Management (UTM) firewalls, implemented network segmentation with VLANs and DMZs, and configured inline Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) based on Snort with continuously updated custom rule sets. Public-facing services are shielded behind a WAF, with HTTPS and HSTS standards enforced via automated wildcard SSL/TLS certificate renewals.
Endpoints are safeguarded using EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) technologies, and regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests validate the infrastructure’s resilience. Access to sensitive systems follows a strict Zero Trust security model.
From a compliance perspective, the infrastructure is fully aligned with GDPR requirements: data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with strict access controls and regular audits ensuring data protection. A well-documented and regularly tested Disaster Recovery Plan guarantees business continuity even in critical scenarios.
Through this comprehensive project, NRC Company delivered to Pokeria a robust, scalable, and highly secure digital ecosystem, enabling seamless service operations and supporting their ongoing expansion throughout Italy.
